Couple's massage is a wonderful experience, in which two people can share their time, for example; (Celebrations, gifts, etc...)
- generally a romantic couple, although they can also be friends or close relatives.
- receive a massage at the same time and in the same space, usually in a shared room with two massage tables and two naturopaths (one for each person).
It can have several purposes:
- Shared relaxation: Helps both to release tension and stress while enjoying a moment of mutual connection.
- Strengthen the bond: The quiet environment and the joint experience can foster emotional and physical intimacy.
- Special experience: It is usually chosen for special moments, specific dates or as a different plan for peace.
- Mutual self-care: Promotes the idea of caring for and pampering each other together.

- Taking a yoga class beforehand, to create more space in your body.
- In a professional wellness center.
- Combined with aromatherapy (working the limbic system), soft music or candles to make it more intimate or sensory.
Contraindications:
- General massage contraindications (also apply to couples): Fever or infections
- If either of you has a fever, flu or any active infection, it is best to avoid massage. Massage can increase circulation and cause the infection to spread faster.
- Skin diseases: Such as eczema, active psoriasis, fungal infections or herpes. Contact can irritate the skin or spread it to the other person.
- Diseases of the blood clotting system: Thrombosis or serious circulatory problems
- Massage can dislodge clots, which is very dangerous. Always consult a doctor if there is a history of thrombosis, severe varicose veins or phlebitis.
- Trauma:
- Bone fractures, ligament fractures (sprains) or recent injuries
- An area with recent structural damage should not be massaged. It can make the injury worse.
- Pregnancy: Some massages are allowed during pregnancy, but there are points that should be avoided and specific techniques. Do not improvise if you have no knowledge.
- Cancer: Although some types of massage are allowed under medical supervision, in general it is very important to have professional authorization.
- Serious heart problems or uncontrolled blood pressure:
- Massage can affect blood pressure or circulation, which can be risky without medical supervision (always with a doctor's authorization).
- Alcohol or drug use: If either of you has been drinking or using any substance, it is not a good time for a massage: it can alter the body's perception and reactions.
