Flamenco Therapy
Movement Workshop
January 25th
From 11 to 12:30 a.m. - 25€
Body therapy aimed at awakening in the body memories of pain and constricted emotions that, when blocked, cause suffering. Movement allows for an experience of liberation: we are at peace with the pain that is part of our existence.
My experience on the "Camino..."
With my heart leading the way before my understanding catches up, I have danced since I was very young as my most authentic form of expression and that which allows me to lose all sense of time and space, permitting a profound connection.
Although it was through Flamenco dance that I awoke to the dimension of Art, over time I discovered myself broadening horizons and perceiving even the detail as a work of art.
At the same time as a performer, choreographer and Flamenco dancer, I discovered teaching as my vocation during my adolescence. This is how I founded the Spanish dance and Flamenco dance school “La Marisma” in Argentina, a school with which I grew and saw the fruits of 15 years of work grow.
Since then, and now here in Andalusia, I accompany those who seek to find themselves in Flamenco, fostering presence in emotion and its expressive potential through movement.
Felt psychology, understood as “The art of accompanying,” made an impact on me from the first time I encountered it. That's why, some time later, I chose to train as a psychologist, and to this day, I continue to seek to expand, deepen, and update my way of accompanying the diverse circumstances of my clients. Personal development and professional training are paths that, for some time now, have become One, and that is the spirit of my pursuits. Clarity that I integrated alongside Transpersonal Development opening its doors to me with training in Transpersonal Mindfulness and Counseling, which is “my present port.”
With a research profile, I carried out my undergraduate thesis entitled: "PSYCHOANALYSIS AND ART: Analysis of the Romani culture and flamenco singing from the perspective of cultural malaise and sublimation." Since then, the link between Art (particularly Flamenco) and Psychology has been my source of inspiration in research. Building on this development and attempting to expand my perspective, I began my second research project, which I named: TRANSPERSONAL DEVELOPMENT AND ART: “The Dance of the Shadow”. An integrative proposal from which to approach the Shadow aspect from Dance.
Currently, the meeting point between my vocations is the practice of Flamencotherapy, from which I offer my talents.
